Product Description
Kipor Sinemaster KGE3000Ti (or called IG2600) digital inverter generators are approximately 50% smaller and lighter than traditional generators because the alternator is directly connected to the engine, and the flywheel is therefore eliminated. The voltage is constantly adjusted to maintain 120V by the computer inverter module. The light weight design makes them ideal for transportation. Sinemaster digital generators are equipped with the unique smart-throttle. It can automatically regulate the engine speed according to the load, so the fuel consumption of digital generator sets is 20%-40% lower than traditional sets, so the running time is therefore much longer as well. Kipor Sinemaster digital inverter generators have a new two-tiered noise dampening system, so the noise emitted by these generators is 6-9 dB less than traditional generators. This translates to 4 to 8 times quieter than conventional generators. A 3 dB drop in noise level represents the half amount on the actual noise. This meets the new noise ordinances that some state and national parks have adopted. Rated Frequency (Hz): 60, Rated Voltage (V): 120, Rated Current (A): 19.5, Rated Rotatin Speed (rpm): 3600, Rated Output Power (W): 2300, Max. Output Power (W): 2600, DC Output: 12V-8.3A, Electric Circuit Breaker: Available, Phase Numbers: Single phase, Fuel Tank Capacity (L): 4.8 (1.3 gallons) gasoline, Rated Continuous Running Time (hr): 4.2 - 16, Noise Level [dB(A)/7m] (Zero Load): 54 , Noise Level [dB(A)/7m] (Full Load): 59, Engine Type: Single cylinder, 4-stroke, vertical, air-cooled, overhead valve, gasoline engine, Displacement (cc): 171, Ignition System: T.C.I., Starting System: Recoil pull starter, Others: Brushless alternator for long life, USDA Spark Arrest Muffler, EPA Certified Engine - 171cc OHC, single cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled, low emissions, CARB (California) Certified. 2 years warranty, we have a repair center and stock most of the parts.

3 out of 5 stars All these Reviews apply to other Kipor Generators!   September 19, 2009

These reviews are all about other Kipor models, not the one being sold on this page. I hope Amazon is not doing this deliberately. Notice the first favorable review is about the 3000, not the 2000 being sold, etc. This I just noticed, Amazon needs to be more accurate, I certainly do hope it's not intentional, as I tend to trust my fellow buyers' reviews.
I suggest shoppers make sure the review you are reading applies to the unit you're considering; better yet, contact Amazon for an explanation.

4 out of 5 stars Kipor KGE3000TI   September 13, 2009

We haven't put very many hours of this generator yet, but so far it is doing fine. It is easy to start and runs steadily. I could wish it was a little quieter, but it isn't too bad. So far I am satisfied.

3 out of 5 stars Kipor use at altitude   July 15, 2009

I have had the Kipor 2600 for a couple of months. we live west of Denver at 8,200 feet and camp as high as 10,500 in a Jayco featherlite travel trailer.

We camp most often in National Forest property, which is free and secluded so having a reliable generator is useful.

I had a local shop install a high altitude jet for better performance, however even at 8,200 feet when I start the microwave the generator bogs down on me.

We don't need to run the A/C at that altitude but have use of a microwave occasionally is nice.

Not sure what the issue is but I am dissappointed with the fact it cannot handle the microwave as advertised.

I cannot say that Kipor support in the US is the best either.

5 out of 5 stars good for emergencies   January 8, 2009

Bought this generator in March 2006 to keep the fridge and some lights running during power outages, and it hasn't let me down yet. I've run it for up to 4 days continuously in 100-degree heat with no problems. Even after sitting for several months it's easy to start, and quiet enough to leave running all night without bothering neighbors (as far as I know). I like the automatic throttle (uses only as much fuel as needed for whatever load is attached). The fact that it's safe for use with computers is the real highlight though-- nothing worse than a power blackout combined with the feeling of being cut off from the outside world. I can't really say how much gas it consumes, but it will go all night with just the fridge running, then fill the tank in the morning.

5 out of 5 stars Great Genrator   October 13, 2008

I was skeptical about ordering such an item on Amazon. That is a lot of money to invest in an item you can't see or put your hands on before you spend it. I have been quite pleased. The Kipor Genrator is quite as the ad says. Pull start, man. I worried cause two women will be traveling with this generator. We've used and it even though I don't have alot of strength, it started second pull each time. First time was to prime it and second was crank right up!
