Kipor Sinemaster KGE3000THi (also call IG2600H) digital inverter generators are approximately 50% smaller and lighter than traditional generators because the alternator is directly connected to the engine, and the flywheel is therefore eliminated. The voltage is constantly adjusted to maintain at 120V by the computer inverter module. The light weight design makes them ideal for transportation. Sinemaster digital generators are equipped with the unique smart-throttle. It can automatically regulate the engine speed according to the load, so the fuel consumption of digital generator sets is 20%-40% lower than traditional sets, so the running time is therefore much longer as well. The noise level is further reduced at lower running speed. Sinemaster digital inverter generators have a new two-tiered noise dampening system, so the noise emitted by these generators is 6-9 dB less than traditional generators. This translates to 4 to 8 times quieter than conventional generators. A 3 dB drop in noise level represents the half amount on the actual noise. This meets the new noise ordinances that some state and national parks have adopted. Received the generator in good condition. No shipping problems at all. Read and followed labeled instructions about the generator due to never having owned one. Went to store and bought a quart of Mobil 1 oil and added correct amount. ($6.00 a qt. oil for a $1000 + unit is not a problem) Added correct amount of oil and filled the gas and gave her about 3 to 4 pulls and it came to life. One mounting bolt did vibrate loose whie idiling but not a big deal. Tightened all screws just to make sure. Then we did it! Plugged our Lance TC into the generator and did some test. The fridge worked. Then the microwave worked. Then the 1997 or so year air conditioner. Viola! The AC came on and cooled things down. Great!!! I did add an hour meter so I know the run time and can perform maintenance at the required intervals. The self contained handle is nice for moving the unit around.
I can not give this a 5 star rating because we are still in the trial mode and havn't given it a good test. Will be diung that in August/September.

I was originally looking at one of the Honda inverter generators. But the price was too high. I have no doubt that it is a good unit, but it was more than i was willing to spend. That's when I started looking at this generator. I'm using it to power a 14" band saw and a 13 " planer (only one at a time ; ). Though it does shudder a little when starting the planer (and I do mean only a little), once it's running it has NO problem keeping up. My workshop is in my garage in the middle of an apartment complex, so the sound was also of concern. This thing at idle is quiet enough that you cant tell it's running from 15-20 feet away. At full throttle (smart throttle off) you can talk (not yell) over it (when you are standing right next to it. I'll update this if it gives me any problems, but I really don't see that being a problem.

This baby beats the Honda and Yamaha which are similar and over priced. This also puts out more power than both for much less money. It is light weight and just as quiet as Honda. Starts on one pull everytime
